Was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1973. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster, in London. Additionally, she studied English and Literature at the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ). She is a member of the Society of Authors (SoA) and the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) and has worked on translations in the fields of law, immigration, politics, medicine, advertising, marketing, amongst others.
Patricia worked for the British Civil Service for more than ten years, first with HM Revenue and Customs and then, more recently, with the Home Office as an immigration officer. In 2016, she started her own business as an immigration advisor and has published several articles on the subject.
